  • Managing users, roles, and permissions
  • Finding ongoing resources, training, and support resources

PLM is highly configurable, so system views and available options can vary by district.

Core PLM Concepts

  • Forms shape workflows across PLM and can support approvals through district-defined routing.

  • Instructors
  • Activity owners
  • Approvers
  • Organization admins

Activities in PLM

  • Activities are offered through programs and appear in the catalog.
  • Activities can be workshops, online learning, blended learning, or collaborative learning.

Catalog and Program Structure

  • Complete required fields before publishing.
  • Save drafts during setup.
  • Use catalog viewing dates to control when learners can see the activity.

Registration and Approval Settings

  • Registration forms can collect additional information or require approvals.
  • Approval required settings determine whether a registration form is used.
  • Waitlists can automatically enroll the next learner when a spot opens.

Steps, Resources, and Meetings

  • Steps support asynchronous learning and can include step hours.
  • Resource steps must reference items in the resource library.
  • Meetings support synchronous learning and contribute to total hours.

Publishing and Editing Considerations

  • Review steps and meeting setup before publishing.
  • After the first registrant, steps cannot be edited and new meetings cannot be added.
  • Existing meetings can be rescheduled and meetings can be canceled.

Managing Users, Roles, and Access

  • Roles control permissions and may be preconfigured or custom.
  • Users may need additional roles for instructor, activity owner, approver, or admin responsibilities.
  • Managing User Access supports invitations, account status tracking, and access changes.
