The substitute placement feature does not begin outbound calling until two days before the absence start date. Substitutes can also turn off calling, which affects who receives outbound calls.

Use Report Writer to run a report that shows how assignments are filled.

  • In Report Writer, scroll to the absence log data category.
  • Run the How Are Assignments Filled report.

View How Many Substitutes Have Calling Restricted

Use a substitute report to review calling restrictions.

  • Select reports.
  • Select substitute.
  • Select restricted call time.

View Substitutes Who Have Not Worked

Use a substitute report to review substitutes who have not accepted assignments.

  • Select reports.
  • Select substitute.
  • Select non working substitutes.

Communication Tips to Improve Fill Rates

  • Contact substitutes who have not accepted assignments to confirm availability.
  • Remind employees that preferred substitutes may also need to be added as favorites.
  • Share employee learning resources about preferred substitutes and favorite substitutes.
  • Remind substitutes they can search online, call into the system, or use the Frontline Mobile app.
