This article offers password reset instructions for Admins and users with a Frontline Passport account.
Admins: Can send a password reset to any user(s) who cannot recall their Passport password.
Users: Can reset their own Passport password via the login page at k12.frontlineeducation.com.
Click a tab below to alternate between reset instructions for Administrators and users.
Navigation
An Admin can reset a password using the functionality available within the Frontline Administration application. As an Admin, you can access Frontline Administration via the application dropdown provided in the top purple bar of your application, or via the app selector used during initial sign in.
Initial Setup Requirements
This password reset assumes the user has already set up a Frontline Passport account but cannot recall/access the password they provided during that initial account creation.
If a user does not yet have a Passport account set up, the system will display the Action prompt to "Send Account Invitation" rather than "Reset Password" via the user's Quick View Details.
Example of No Passport: "Send Passport Invitation"
Example of Has Passport: Send Password Reset
Reset a Password (Admin)
A password reset can be sent via the "Home" page or within a user's Organization Details page.
Search for a user to locate the person in question on the main "Home" page and follow one of the following pathways.
Scenario 1:
Click the View Details link and select Send Password Reset in the pop-up view that opens.
Example of Has Passport: Send Password Reset
Scenario 2:
Click the user's name link to navigate to the user's Organization Details page.
From here, click the dropdown beside the "Has Passport" status, located within the Frontline Passport Details section, and select Send Password Reset.
Receive a Password Reset
The system will relay a password reset prompt to the email address affiliated with the user's Passport account. The user will select the "Reset Password" link within the email to proceed to the Frontline password creation page.
The user will enter a new password and re-enter the password to confirm all requirements are met. Once finished, they will select Reset Password to complete the creation steps.
This action will reset the password, and the system will perform an auto-sign in. Future sign-ins can be made at any time via k12.frontlineeducation.com.
Go to User Workflow TabReset a Password (User)
A user can complete a password reset via the login page at k12.frontlineeducation.com. Enter the email affiliated with the Passport Account and click Next.
Select the "Forgot Password" link, located below the password prompts.
The user can then reset their password using one of the provided security retrieval methods. In this example, let's click Select beside the "Email" option.
A confirmation page will open. Click Send me an email to initiate the password reset prompt.
Once the email is sent, the system will provide an optional prompt to enter a code from the email, rather than select a link within the email. Click the "Enter a code from the email instead" link if this is the desired method (or skip to the password reset instructions below).
If using the optional code, reference the email (shown further below) and locate the numerical code provided in the email. Enter this numerical code in the "Enter Code" text box and click Verify. In this example, we will use "655489."
Receive a Password Reset
The system will relay a password reset prompt to the email address affiliated with the Passport account. Select the "Reset Password" link within the email to proceed to the Frontline password creation page. (You can alternately use the email code as an optional, alternate verification method, as discussed above.)
Enter a new password and re-enter the password to confirm all requirements are met. Once finished, select Reset Password to complete the process.
This action will reset the password, and the system will perform an auto-sign in. Future sign-ins can be made at any time via k12.frontlineeducation.com.
