A Phone Call from Absence Management

This article explains how substitutes receive and respond to job offers through the Absence Management automated phone call system. How the Automated Call Works

When a job becomes available, the system may call you to offer the assignment. Information includes:

  • Identification of the substitute being contacted.
  • Notification that an employee has requested a substitute.
  • Option to accept the job offer or prevent additional calls for the day.

Assignment Details Provided During the Call

Assignment details provided include:

  • District name
  • School location
  • Employee name and position
  • Assignment date
  • Start and end times
  • Reporting instructions

You may be prompted to enter your PIN followed by the pound sign to continue.

Response Options

Response options include:

  • Press 1 to accept the assignment
  • Press 2 to hear the information again
  • Press 3 to reject the assignment and allow additional calls that day
  • Press 4 to reject the assignment and prevent additional calls that day
  • Press 5 to repeat the summary information

Confirmation

If you accept the assignment, the system saves your response and provides a confirmation number. Record this number for your records.

Absence Management allows substitutes to receive and respond to job offers by phone during district-designated call times. Follow the automated prompts to manage assignments efficiently.
