Employee QuickStart Guide

This article summarizes the Employee QuickStart Guide, offering a brief overview of how to access and use the Absence Management system via web, mobile app, or phone. Click on one of the links below to view this printable guide.


Signing In (Web Version)

  • Go to app.frontlineeducation.com.
  • Enter your username/password and click Sign In, or, if applicable, select Organization SSO to log in through your district’s portal (e.g., Azure, OneLogin, or Google Apps).
  • If you forget your credentials, click “Having trouble signing in?” for recovery options.

Creating an Absence

  • From your Absence Management homepage, open the Create Absence tab.
  • Enter details: Absence date(s), Reason for absence, Notes for your administrator or substitute, Attach files if needed (lesson plans, classroom materials).
  • Click Create Absence.

Managing Your Frontline Account & PIN

To change personal information and password related to your Frontline Account:

  • Click your name in the upper-right corner of the application.
  • Select Account Settings.
  • Select Profile: Use for Personal Information (some fields may be restricted by your district).
  • Select Frontline ID: Manage password settings.

To change Absence details and the PIN for your Absence Management account:

  • Select the Account option in the side navigation menu.
  • Change your PIN.
  • Upload shared attachments (lesson plans, classroom rules, etc.).
  • Manage preferred substitutes.

Using the Mobile App

  • Download the Frontline Education app from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Sign in with your username and password.
  • Features include: Creating absences, Viewing leave balances, Tracking absence status in real time.

Calling the Absence Management System

Dial 1-800-942-3767 and enter your ID number + #, then PIN + #. Available phone options:

  • Press 1: Create an absence (within 30 days).
  • Press 3: Review upcoming absences.
  • Press 4: Review a specific absence.
  • Press 5: Review or change personal information.

Getting Help & Resources

  • Click Help Resources in the top purple bar of the application.
  • View your Organization Admin’s contact info.
  • Access the Learning Center for additional learning resources.
